CRIME REPORT: Our license plate readers continue to help BSO make needed arrests. Out LPRs are connected to Hollywood so when we get a hit, so does Hollywood. This happened last week and the car was located east bound on Sheridan. The car was stopped, and two juveniles were apprehended and the car was reported stolen out of Tamarac.
At the Red Carpet in on SR441, a report of a screaming out of control male brought deputies and the individual took off on foot and was caught and arrested. It turns out he was armed with a knife and had threatened the employees at the Inn.
Last week on a routine traffic stop in the 800 block of Stirling Road, there was an odor of marijuana. The deputies spotted a fully loaded Springfield Hellcat 9MM hand gun. It turns out, the individual had a protective order out for him and he was prohibited to possess any weapons. He was arrested for violating that court order.
FIRE/RESCUE REPORT: Last month, there were 686 calls for service. 89 were fire related and 597 were for medical emergencies.
The Captain of Station 17s rescue carries, whole blood and now has newer equipment such as a Hamilton T-1 Ventilator. Also, now carries a Butterfly IQ Ultrasound Machine.
Be safe. Stay hydrated. The non emergency number is (954) 764-4357 and as always you can use 911. Keep in mind, they want you to call.
If you see something, say something, do something!
